I have been traveling throughout the coastal areas of SC and Georgia to do a little researching on life during what we refer to as Colonia times. One of the most important things that I have learned from this experience is the hardships that people of all races and ethnic groups endured in developing these areas. Different make a difference if they were black, white, red or hell even the gender. Everyone suffered hardships. It took quite a bit of ingenuity and hard physical labor to get these areas where they are at today. Some would say that not everything present has been beneficial, but then I guess it all boils down to individual perspective. But there are certain itmems involving the individual that came as a results of all this suffering. THose are the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Within those documents are the framework of one of the most important rights that we possess-the right to Vote. Mrs. Bennett's video, though it advocates voting for Senator Obama could have very well have been one touting any of the candidates running for office. So disgard if you will and can the obvious message and concentrate of the hardships experienced to get the right to vote. No matter if you are of European, African, or Native American descent the hardship factor through the Colonial period and up until today still exist. Yes this right to vote was late coming for women, Africans and Native Americans, but as of this date they're here. So let us not squander our heritage. Excercise the right to vote.
